Ideas for Middletown

I welcome ideas from residents for improving Middletown, especially how we deliver our services and program to the residents.

Here's an idea.
Have the public works/maintance department install motion sensors in all township properties. The motion sensors will automatically turn off lights when no one is present in a room or hallways.

My company has recently installed motion sensors in most common rooms and hallways, the cost for the sensors was less than $1,000 and we are now seeing a signficant savings in our electric bill.

These sensors are set to turn off lights after 15 minutes of inactivity in an area. They have been installed in locker/break rooms, bathrooms hallways throughout the administrative buildings and offices.

The plus side of this is that if people do not turn off their lights when leaving their offices during the day,the sensors will do it for them.

Ensure that all houses to be built in the township face a street. A builder was allowed to build a house facing my house. I didn't think there would be a problem but it looks really strange. Please don't allow any more to be built like this or it will look like the nastier areas of West Virginia. All we need is a little coal smoke. I think we need to adhere to zoning rules even if the seller of the property is the Church.
